Position Overview

As a Full-Time Pre-Op RN, you will play a vital role in preparing patients for surgery by conducting preoperative assessments, ensuring patient comfort, providing patient education, and delivering exceptional care throughout the preoperative process.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive preoperative assessments, including review of medical history, medications, and current health status. Educate patients and families regarding surgical procedures and postoperative expectations. Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and surgical team members to ensure efficient patient flow.

Maintain compliance with all safety, accreditation, and infection control standards. Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while promoting a positive patient experience. Prioritize and organize workload to meet patient and departmental needs. Document patient information accurately and timely.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Current RN license in the State of Virginia or eligibility to obtain licensure. BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center. New RN Graduates are encouraged to apply. Previous experience in Pre-Op, PACU, Critical Care, or Surgical Services preferred, but not required.

Strong critical thinking and nursing judgment skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Commitment to delivering outstanding patient-focused care.

Pay Range
