Role Summary

ZRG is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Staff Accountant, Accounts Payable to support the day-to-day accounts payable function and related financial operations. This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices, employee expenses, vendor payments, audit requests, and regulatory reporting requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering excellent internal and external customer service. This position works closely with Finance, HR, vendors, contractors, and employees across the organization to support efficient financial operations and maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Support the end-to-end accounts payable process through Tipalti, including vendor and contractor onboarding, account setup assistance, invoice review, coding validation, approval workflow management, and payment processing. Serve as a primary point of contact for vendors and contractors, responding to inquiries and maintaining positive professional relationships.

Assist with administration of the Concur Travel & Expense (T&E) platform, including employee onboarding, expense report review, policy compliance monitoring, and user support. Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy, proper coding, required approvals, and adherence to company policies. Prepare audit support documentation and respond to internal and external audit requests in a timely and accurate manner.

Assist with the preparation, issuance, reconciliation, and filing of annual 1099 forms in compliance with IRS regulations. Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts payable and accrued expenses. Maintain accurate vendor records and ensure all supporting documentation is properly organized and retained.

Monitor and safeguard confidential financial and organizational information. Provide backup support for cash application and related accounting functions as needed. Identify opportunities to improve accounts payable processes, controls, and efficiencies. Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Human Resources, Payroll, and other departments to ensure seamless financial operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience. 2+ years of experience in Accounts Payable, Accounting, or Finance. Experience working with automated accounts payable and expense management systems. Strong understanding of invoice processing, expense reimbursement procedures, and payment workflows.

Experience utilizing ERP systems within a corporate environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. Knowledge of banking requirements and payment processing procedures. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively across departments. High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Experience with Tipalti, Concur, and App. Zen. Experience with Net. Suite or other cloud-based ERP systems. Understanding of 1099 reporting requirements and regulatory compliance. Previous experience supporting audits and month-end close processes. Experience working in a professional services, consulting, or global business environment.

Compensation

is tailored to each individual based on their skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
