The Department of Internal Medicine at the University of California, Davis School of Medicine is recruiting for 1 faculty member in the Professor of Clinical X or Health Sciences Clinical Professor series at the Assistant, Associate, Full Professor rank in Transplant Nephrology. Faculty in the Clinical X series is expected to engage in professional competence and activity, teaching, research and creative work, and University/public service.

Faculty in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series are expected to engage in teaching, professional competence and activity, scholarly or creative activities, and University/public service. Transplant Nephrology Faculty responsibilities include direct inpatient and outpatient clinical care; teaching medical students, residents, and fellows; university/public service; and regular attendance at scheduled meetings and CME activities.

Clinical efforts include all aspects of Transplant Nephrology, including pre-transplant candidate evaluation, inpatient consultation, post-transplant outpatient care, biopsy, and living donor candidate evaluation. The Clinical X position will assist in the development of the transplant clinical research center participating in multicenter pharmaceutical trials as well as investigator-initiated studies.
