Job Posting: Long-Term Substitute Educational Assistants Position Available: Applications are being accepted for long-term substitute educational assistants at Foley Public Schools (2 positions). Location: Foley Intermediate School. Candidates interested in working at either location should apply. Start Date: As soon as possible End Date: 11/16/2026 and 11/25/2026 Essential Functions: Educational Assistants work directly under the supervision of a special education teacher and/or the school principal.

Educational Assistants supervise and work with students with physical, intellectual, and/or behavioral disabilities. 7-hour day (6.5 paid hours per day or 32.5 paid hours per 5-day week) Qualifications: An A.A. degree or at least two years of study at an institution of higher education (a minimum of 60 semester credits), or a passing score on the Para.

Pro or Para. Educator assessment. Information about the Para. Pro Assessment may be found at https://www.ets.org/parapro . A passing score on a PCA certification online assessment Experience or interest in working with children in a classroom or educational setting. Experience or interest in working with children with disabilities is preferred.
