About the role

Job Summary

The CNC Machinist is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating a HAAS TL-1 CNC lathe to manufacture precision components from engineering drawings and supplied materials. This role requires strong G-code programming skills and the ability to work independently in a low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environment with frequent setups and programming changes.

Key Responsibilities

Program, set up, and operate a HAAS TL-1 CNC lathe. Write, edit, and save G-code programs. Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Perform machine setups, tooling selection, and first-piece inspections. Troubleshoot machining issues and maintain quality standards. Support continuous improvement and safe work practices.

Qualifications

Experience programming and operating CNC lathes. Proficiency with G-code programming. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with HAAS CNC equipment. Manual machining experience with: Knee mills Engine lathes Key broaches Ability to machine and complete parts from start to finish.
