Milwaukee Academy of Science (MAS) is seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher to join our school community and help prepare scholars for success in college, careers, and beyond. Founded in 2000, Milwaukee Academy of Science is a K4–12th grade independent charter school located in downtown Milwaukee, serving nearly 1,000 scholars.

You will create a classroom environment where students are challenged, supported, and inspired to learn. Through culturally responsive instruction, thoughtful assessment, collaboration, and meaningful relationships, you will help scholars grow academically and prepare for their next chapter.

What You'll Do

Plan and deliver rigorous, engaging curriculum using culturally responsive instructional strategies. Meet Students Where They Are: Differentiate instruction to support diverse learning styles, academic levels, and student needs. Track & Celebrate Growth: Use formative and summative assessments to monitor progress, analyze data, and adjust instruction.

Build Strong Partnerships: Communicate regularly with students, families, colleagues, and administration about student progress and needs. Collaborate for Success: Work closely with classroom and resource teachers, student service personnel, administrators, and other school staff to develop effective student interventions.

Contribute to the School Community: Participate in curriculum development, data analysis, professional development planning, material selection, and school committees. Keep Growing: Pursue professional development through staff training, coursework, and other opportunities that strengthen your practice. Support the MAS Mission: Understand and embrace the educational philosophy of the school while maintaining high expectations for every scholar.

Make a Difference: Perform other duties as assigned by the Building Principal and other administrators.
