Salary: $19-$22/hr, depending on experience, education, certifications, licensure, and location. Schedule: 4/10, some Saturday coverage required. Hospital is open Monday-Friday 7:30 am – 6 pm, Saturday 8 am – 3 pm. Location: 1603 W Colorado Ave, Colorado Springs, CO 80904 Who You Are: 3 + years of veterinary clinical experience, as a Veterinary Assistant Knowledge of industry tools and equipment Passion for working with small animals, birds, and their owners Experience with proper animal handling and restraint for a variety of species Ability to perform nursing care in a hospital Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare Understands the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills Dental procedure experience, scaling and polishing Skilled in IV Catheter placement and all blood draws Anesthesia monitoring and surgical experience including intubation, monitoring, pre-operative and post-operative care Laboratory skills including cytology set-up and interpretation Diagnostic experience including digital radiology, dental radiology, and ultrasound-guided cystocentesis And all other duties of a Veterinary Assistant as allowable by law What Makes Us Different Referral program – join our team, bring your friends, and get paid!
