Security Manager

Summary Job Description: The Security Manager has 24-hour responsibility for the oversight and management of the hospital’s Security programs. This position manages the day-to-day operations of the department and is responsible for addressing security, safety, and customer service-related issues. The Manager assists employees, patients, and visitors with security and related matters and provides continuity and communication between various stake holders.

Additional responsibilities include investigating security-related incidents, supporting a safe and welcoming environment, and ensuring a high level of service for patients, visitors, and staff.

Requirements

A minimum of two years of security management experience is required, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting. A valid driver’s license is required. BCLS certification is required or must be obtained within 90 days of hire. Experience with the TASER X26P, including course completion and instructor certification, is preferred; however, required training and certification must be completed after hire if not already obtained.
