You’re a visible, approachable leader who enjoys being on the shop floor as much as managing store performance. You bring energy, sound judgement and a hands-on approach, and you’re ready to make your mark in a store with a unique mix of regular customers and visiting holidaymakers. To be successful, you’ll need: A minimum of three years’ experience as a Grocery Store Manager or in a similar role within a high-volume supermarket A valid Food Safety Supervisor certificate Comprehensive knowledge of food safety legislation and standards Demonstrated success leading, developing and motivating a team Strong commercial skills across budgets, profit and loss reporting, inventory and stock control Experience managing rosters, recruitment, training and performance Experience in any of the following is highly regarded: Previous experience within an IGA supermarket Relevant tertiary qualifications, such as a Diploma in Business Merchandising and product ranging expertise About Hamilton Island Our mission is to share the wonder of Hamilton Island with the world by creating unforgettable experiences for our guests, employees and community.
