HMS ODP Taster Day - 05/11/2026 - Chelmsford

Operating Department Practitioner Taster Day Ambassadors – Cambridge Campus We are looking for 2 ODP students to work as Ambassadors at our upcoming ODP Taster Day at the Chelmsford Campus! Date: Thursday 5th November 2026 Working hours: 09:00 - 15:00 Pay rate: £13.45 per hour Location: Chelmsford Campus The Role You will support a practical ODP Taster Session delivered by an academic, helping prospective students engage with the session and learn more about studying ODP at ARU.

Your duties will include: Supporting the academic with setting up the practical session. Engaging with prospective students and assisting them throughout the session. Sharing your experiences of studying ODP at ARU and answering questions about student life and the course. Participating in an Ambassador Q&A session with visitors.

Helping to create a welcoming, informative and engaging experience for prospective students. You will be required to wear your ODP uniform for this role. Who Can Apply? This opportunity is exclusively open to current ARU ODP students. Due to the specialist nature of the practical session and the subject-specific knowledge required, applicants must be currently studying ODP.

Students studying other courses will not be considered for this role. We are looking for students who are enthusiastic, approachable and confident in sharing their experiences to help inspire prospective students considering a career in ODP. Interested?
