- Residential STATUS: Full Time; SCHEDULE / HOURS: 40 hours a week mostly weekdays with some weekend requirements LOCATION: Monroeville area including Wilkinsburg and Penn Hills Milestone Centers, a subsidiary of Partners For Quality Inc., is a nonprofit, community-based human services agency supporting individuals with behavioral health challenges and intellectual & developmental disabilities in communities throughout Western Pennsylvania. Our Agency oversees 20 residential settings, two outpatient offices, three adult training facilities, a prevocational enterprise program, a consumer drop-in center, habilitation services, and two Health Care Quality Units in Butler and Warren, which train professionals in 18 counties. Milestone Centers has earned certification from the Sanctuary Institute for providing trauma-informed care.
Responsibilities
The Lead Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible to the Community Living Manager (CLM) assisting with the overall operation of assigned residential homes. The Lead DSP provides education and coaching support to staff to facilitate goals in clients’ Individual Support Plans (ISP). This position provides direct care and support to ID&A Residential clients with their individual goals and activities of daily living, as needed and as defined in their Individual Support Plans (ISPs) .
Lead DSP Responsibilities: Report to the CLM concerning the operation of assigned residential homes. Exercise initiative and independent judgement during the performance of required duties. Communicate significant information (including staffing/transportation changes and behavioral/medical problems to the CLM, nurse, staff and non-residential staff.
Assists with education, training and coaching DSPs to ensure: Consistent implementation of Individual Support Plans Knowledge and understanding of SEEPs, Crisis Plans and Behavioral Support Plans Completion of accurate record keeping and documentation (Service Notes, Behavior Logs, Communication Notes, Incident Reports…) Compliance with 6400 Regulations Coaching and mentoring of all newly hired DSPs Works with staff and clients to maintain a safe and healthy home environment Completes weekly physical site checklists Completes Maintain X requests as needed Assists with monitoring clients’ finances Assure therapeutic diets are properly prepared and served Properly administer and/or observe administration of medications.
Implement and discontinue medications. 65/Hr. Maximum Compensation USD $19.65/Hr.
