Old Quarry Wrestling Coach

Job Overview : The wrestling coach will be responsible for coaching, supervising, and managing the wrestling team during practices and games. The coach will help create a positive, inclusive, and educational environment that promotes skill development, teamwork, and good sportsmanship. Season starts end of November.

Key Responsibilities

Help plan, organize, and conduct 3-5 practices per week. Supervise and manage the team during 12-18 scheduled contests. Provide direct supervision and guidance during all practices and games, ensuring the safety and well-being of all student-athletes. Foster teamwork, discipline, and a strong work ethic within the team.

Create and implement practice plans focused on player skill development, game strategies, and fitness. Communicate regularly with players, parents, and school administration about schedules, team progress, and any concerns. Ensure compliance with all district policies and athletic guidelines.

Qualifications

Previous coaching experience preferred, particularly with middle school-aged students. Strong understanding of wrestling rules, techniques, and strategies. Ability to effectively communicate and manage a team of young athletes. Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to promote a positive sports environment. CPR and First Aid certification Work Schedule : Practices: 3-5 per week (scheduled after school).

Meets: 12-18 scheduled meets over the season (including home and away meets). Stipend: - $2,550.00
