Job Title Software Development Engineer Location(s) Pune Job Description Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and microservices using Go (Golang) Build and expose RESTful and gRPC APIs consumed by frontend and third-party integrations Develop and optimize data pipelines, message queues, and event-driven architectures Integrate with cloud platforms (Azure / AWS) for deployment, storage, and messaging services Write unit, integration, and performance tests to ensure reliability and code quality Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and contribute to engineering best practices Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, performance bottlenecks, and system failures Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into technical solutions Maintain technical documentation, API contracts, and system design artifacts Support CI/CD pipeline integration and DevOps workflows for continuous delivery Basic Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field 4–5 years of hands-on professional experience in software development with Go (Golang) as the primary language Strong understanding of Go internals — goroutines, channels, interfaces, and memory management Solid experience building RESTful APIs and/or gRPC services Proficiency with SQL and/or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis) Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes) Experience with message brokers such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Azure Service Bus Understanding of software engineering principles: version control (Git), testing strategies, and CI/CD concepts Exposure to cloud environments — Azure or AWS — for deployment and infrastructure Preferred Characteristics Experience with distributed systems design patterns (CQRS, Event Sourcing, Saga pattern) Familiarity with service mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd Exposure to observability tools — Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or Open.
Telemetry Understanding of security best practices — OAuth2, JWT, mTLS in microservices Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments Strong problem-solving ability with a pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and globally distributed team Good communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly Self-driven, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced product environment Good to Have Contributions to open-source Go projects or libraries Experience with IoT platforms, laboratory informatics, or scientific data systems Knowledge of additional languages such as Python, Java, or TypeScript Familiarity with Git.
