Sheltering Arms Institute is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist to join our inpatient team. The Occupational Therapist provides quality, comprehensive, patient-centered occupational therapy services including patient examination (ages 12+), development and administration of a treatment plan, documentation and communication with team members, and clinical direction and supervision to licensed/non-licensed personnel.

Instructs therapy support staff, students, other team members, and patient and/or caregivers. May rotate through clinical areas.

Qualifications

and Skills Experience in an inpatient rehab setting preferred. Education/Certifications Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program required. Master’s or doctoral degree from an accredited occupational therapy program and/or a specialty practice certification preferred. Virginia licensure to practice or eligibility and application for licensure by the Occupational Therapy Board of the Virginia State Board of Health Professions required.

Healthcare professionals CPR certification required.

Compensation

$34.50 - $47.42 per hour This range reflects our commitment to pay equity and market‑competitive compensation. Final compensation depends on experience, skills, and internal equity.
