Job Description: Smalls is seeking a motivated and organized Can Van Manager to lead operations for our Smalls Can Van (food truck) while also supporting our Can (brick-and-mortar) location. This role is responsible for managing catering events, food truck operations, scheduling, and business development, while maintaining Smalls’ high standards for service, food quality, and brand representation.

This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone with catering and food truck experience who thrives in both mobile and in-restaurant environments.

Essential duties

for a Can Van Manager may include, but are not limited to the following: Manage all day-to-day operations of the Smalls Can Van Oversee catering events from preparation through execution Coordinate and manage the Can Van schedule and event calendar Ensure proper food prep, loading, transport, and setup for events Maintain inventory, ordering, and par levels for the truck Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food handling regulations Represent the Smalls brand professionally at all offsite events Restaurant Support: Work scheduled shifts at the Smalls restaurant location when not on catering assignments Support daily restaurant operations as needed Maintain consistent food quality and service standards across both locations Partner closely with the General Manager of the Can to ensure consistency across leadership.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age. Food truck experience strongly preferred Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends Comfortable driving and operating a food truck (valid driver’s license required) Strong organizational and time management skills Prior cash handling experience. 3-5 years prior supervisor experience and ability to work 50 hours per week.

Prior experience using Microsoft products.
