Job description

Job Description: As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic you will play a critical role in ensuring that our fleet of heavy equipment is well-maintained and in optimal working condition.

Responsibilities include

Repair and Maintenance: Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repair on a variety of heavy equipment, including but not limited to bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and graders. Routine Inspections: Conduct routine inspections to identify and address potential issues, ensuring the safety and reliability of the equipment.

Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to pinpoint issues and develop effective solutions. Preventive Maintenance: Execute scheduled preventive maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and extend the life span of our equipment. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities, as well as parts inventory.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a heavy equipment mechanic, with expertise in diagnosing and repairing a range of heavy equipment. Minimum 3 years experience Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and other heavy equipment components. Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. A commitment to safety and the ability to work safely in a shop environment.

Compensation

Competitive wages, paying up to $60 an hour Shift: Monday to Friday 8am - 4:30pm
