Senior Environmental Advisor
- Major Infrastructure About the Employer Our client is an engineering and construction business working across transport, defence and major infrastructure. It combines project delivery expertise with a focus on collaboration, technical improvement and sustainable outcomes. The Opportunity Provide senior environmental advice and site compliance leadership for major energy infrastructure based in Leongatha. You will support operational managers, mentor environmental personnel and help the project meet its approval conditions and sustainability commitments.
Your Responsibilities
- Implement construction environmental plans and sustainability controls across site activities.
- Verify compliance with approval conditions, environmental legislation and ISO 14001 requirements.
- Audit site operations, work methods and contractor performance.
- Investigate environmental incidents, analyse sustainability information and manage statutory reporting, including NGER.
- Coach environmental officers and strengthen working relationships with project teams, suppliers, clients and regulators.
Requirements
Skills, Education and Requirements
- A bachelor degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management or a related field.
- At least five years in environmental compliance or management on major infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 14001 management systems, CEMPs and NGER reporting.
- Experience conducting audits, risk assessments and incident investigations.
- Effective communication, stakeholder management and team leadership.
- A current Victorian driver’s licence.
