About the Employer Our client is an established engineering, construction and operations business delivering transport, building, water and other infrastructure works across Australia. Its multidisciplinary teams support the development and operation of assets used by local communities. The Opportunity Manage high-value subcontracts and self-performed works for rail buildings and facilities.

The advertised office base is initially central Sydney, with a move to Clyde/Rosehill project sites during the latter part of 2026. Your Work

  • Lead scope development, tender analysis, procurement and subcontract negotiations.
  • Manage claims, variations, notices, cost forecasts, accruals and commercial reporting through close-out.
  • Work with engineering teams to resolve scope gaps and plan procurement packages.
  • Assess contractual risks, implement controls and support head-contract administration.
  • Coach junior commercial staff and maintain effective subcontractor and market relationships.

Requirements

Skills, Education and Requirements

  • Relevant postgraduate qualification in quantity surveying, commerce, accounting, business, construction, property, law or related discipline.
  • Proven senior contracts-administration or quantity-surveying experience in construction or engineering.
  • End-to-end procurement and management of technically complex, high-value subcontract packages.
  • Strong cost control, commercial negotiation and contract knowledge.
  • Understanding of market conditions, document control and reliable records management.
