Junior Quantitative Researcher

We are Pinely, a high-frequency algorithmic trading firm based in Amsterdam. Our team specializes in developing robust and adaptive strategies applicable across a wide range of financial instruments and exchanges. We actively support the Olympiad movement, and many of our colleagues are prize-winning mathematicians, researchers and engineers.
At the moment we are looking for a Junior Quantitative Researcher for our Amsterdam-based office who will join one of our Trading teams to analyze the global markets, create and optimize profitable trading strategies. Researchers at Pinely benefit from working in a fast-paced HFT environment, where the impact of their ideas is quickly visible in production.

Responsibilities
Developing and improving trading algorithms using statistical models and machine learning techniques; Analyzing high-frequency trading strategies and market microstructure to identify new trading opportunities; Collaborating with developers and other researchers to implement and optimize trading strategies; Contributing to the improvement of existing trading strategies and assisting senior researchers in quantitative strategy design.
Requirements
A degree in mathematics, physics, computer science, or another quantitative discipline; Strong understanding of probability theory and mathematical statistics; Demonstrated exceptional performance in mathematical competitions or competitive programming contests (IMO, IOI, ICPC, IMC, Google Hash Code, Google Code Jam, or Facebook Hacker Cup and etc.)
