Responsibilities

Assisting with personal cares (showering, bathing) Assisting with household management and meal preparation Supporting exercise programmes Assisting with accessing the community Bowel, Bladder, and Catheter cares Moving and handling hoists and manual transfers Medication support Job Location: Hawkes Bay Employment Type: Permanent Part-Time (Up to 29 Hours) Days of Work: As this is community-based work, rotating rosters would be involved including am, pm and weekend work.

Your preferred hours of work can be discussed during the recruitment process. The duration of these hours may vary, ranging from shorter to longer periods, depending on the specific needs of the people we support.

About you

| He momo You are a calm but confident natured individual who can demonstrate resilience and understand the challenges of our service users. There are many responsibilities associated with being a support worker which can be challenging and fulfilling. It is rewarding when you are part of the support that enables a person to live their best lives in the community.

The candidate would have (Candidate Pre-Requisites): Ideally prior personal care experience is preferred Familiarity with complex medical conditions, like spinal injuries, traumatic brain injury A Level 3 or Level 4 Health and Wellbeing qualification is beneficial and those looking to enter the healthcare sector will also be considered (comprehensive training can be provided) Access to your own car and a Full Driver’s License is a requirement of the role (as this is community-based work) Flexibility to work on a rotating roster Legal right to work in New Zealand is a must.
