Belvoir Pet Hospital** is seeking a Veterinary Technician Assistant** to join our team! This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in veterinary medicine. While previous veterinary experience is not required, candidates with animal handling, kennel, boarding, daycare, or other animal care experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with safe patient restraint for examinations, treatments, and procedures
- Supporting outpatient treatments and patient care under the direction of veterinarians and technicians
- Cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining treatment, exam, and kennel areas
- Restocking supplies and helping maintain hospital organization
- Monitoring patient comfort and reporting concerns to the veterinary team
- Supporting efficient daily hospital operations and patient flow
- Providing compassionate care to patients and excellent service to clients
Schedule and compensation:
- Compensation: $15 - $17 per hour, for each hour worked
- This is a full-time, flexible position with availability needed Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Flexibility within these days is available based on hospital needs.

Minimum qualifications and skill set:

1+ years of experience working with animals in a kennel, dog daycare, boarding facility, shelter, grooming salon, or veterinary setting is preferred but not required.

Proficiency in the following skills:

Comfortable handling dogs and cats of varying sizes and temperaments

Strong willingness to learn veterinary skills and procedures

Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset

Attention to detail and ability to follow established protocols

Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and safely assist with patient restraint throughout the workday
