Veterinary Technician Assistant

Belvoir Pet Hospitalis seeking a Veterinary Technician Assistant to join our team! This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in veterinary medicine. While previous veterinary experience is not required, candidates with animal handling, kennel, boarding, daycare, or other animal care experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with safe patient restraint for examinations, treatments, and procedures
• Supporting outpatient treatments and patient care under the direction of veterinarians and technicians
• Cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining treatment, exam, and kennel areas
• Restocking supplies and helping maintain hospital organization
• Monitoring patient comfort and reporting concerns to the veterinary team
• Supporting efficient daily hospital operations and patient flow
• Providing compassionate care to patients and excellent service to clients

Schedule and compensation:

• Compensation: $15 - $17 per hour, for each hour worked
• This is a full-time, flexible positionwith availability neededMonday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Flexibility within these days is available based on hospital needs.

Minimum qualifications and skill set:

• 1+ years of experience working with animals in a kennel, dog daycare, boarding facility, shelter, grooming salon, or veterinary setting is preferred but not required.

• Proficiency in the following skills:

• Comfortable handling dogs and cats of varying sizes and temperaments

• Strong willingness to learn veterinary skills and procedures

• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset

• Attention to detail and ability to follow established protocols

• Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and safely assist with patient restraint throughout the workday
