Establish and maintain relationship with important government agencies / industry associations / foreign embassies / third parties. Leveraging governmental relationship to assist in permits and license application process.
Arrange high-level meetings and attend public events, identify potential risks / business opportunities and advocate for the interest of Xiaomi.
Tackle market access constraints, product compliance and various ad hoc corporate issues that might arise from government agencies.
Engage directly with policymakers, government agencies to shape policy and political dialogue which impact Xiaomi business objective. Manage policy projects on opportunities affecting Xiaomi products area (including, user privacy, content, competition and cross industry relations).
Design, implement and execute country-specific government affairs programs which tied up with government bodies key programs and interests.
Collaborate cross-functionally with local business units (e.g. Products, Marketing, Public Relation, Legal) and advise on policy and political implications of product development and market operations.
Be part of local crisis management team to liaison with government agencies during crisis. Lead incident response relating to government requirement, negotiate with government authorities to advocate for business priorities, and appropriately escalate when needed to drive solution.
