Delivery Route Driver

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Position Summary The Senior On-Site Service Specialist is responsible for supporting daily onsite delivery, courier, and mail service operations. This role requires a dependable, customer-focused professional who can safely and efficiently transport mail, packages, and materials while ensuring timely and accurate delivery.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, a commitment to safe driving practices, and the ability to provide professional service in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Pick up, transport, and deliver mail, packages, and other materials to designated locations. Operate assigned vehicles safely and in accordance with established safety procedures and guidelines. Complete scheduled delivery routes accurately and efficiently. Sort, organize, and prepare mail and packages for distribution as needed.

Ensure materials are delivered to the appropriate location or recipient in a timely manner. Provide professional and courteous customer service during daily interactions. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to deliveries and service activities. Follow established site procedures, operational standards, and safety requirements.

Assist with general onsite mailroom and service support responsibilities as needed. Perform additional duties based on business and operational needs.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in delivery, courier, mailroom, shipping/receiving, or a related service environment preferred. Strong driving and safety awareness. Ability to work independently and manage assigned routes and priorities effectively. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Dependable and punctual with a strong sense of accountability. Effective communication and customer service skills. Ability to work effectively in an onsite, team-oriented environment. Preferred Experience Previous experience in a delivery, courier, logistics, or mail services environment is preferred. Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Demands Requires frequent exposure to copier and fax machine noise, toner, and changes in room temperature.

May also involve exposure to paper cuts from handling paper and opening boxes. Requires exposure to various weather conditions when traveling between buildings. Interaction with onsite equipment may present potential opportunities for injury or accidents. Requires daily telephone and in-person communication with customers, employees, managers, and/or the Dispatch Department, as well as occasional communication with vendors and equipment repair personnel.

Ability to work effectively within tight deadlines and quick turnaround times in a fast-paced environment. Requires physical activity that may include extended periods of standing, walking, bending, reaching, stretching, climbing, or similar activities. Must be able to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs. May require pushing or pulling equipment on wheels weighing up to 400 lbs.
