Maintenance Technician

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour Job description: Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities through effective maintenance and repair of equipment and systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, along with excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.

Duties Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery, equipment, and facilities to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automated systems. Conduct welding tasks as necessary for repairs or modifications. Utilize electrical knowledge to maintain and repair electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Read and interpret schematics to assist in diagnosing problems and implementing solutions. Carry out facilities maintenance tasks including plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs. Manage maintenance records using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Provide leadership and supervision to junior maintenance staff as needed.

Engage in residential painting projects when required, ensuring high-quality finishes. Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing any facility-related concerns promptly.

Qualifications

Proven experience in maintenance roles with a strong mechanical knowledge base. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical systems is highly desirable. Proficient in reading schematics and technical drawings. Experience in welding techniques for metal fabrication or repair work. Background in facilities maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, and general repairs.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise a team effectively. Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with clients and team members. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Experience within manufacturing environments is a plus. Familiarity with using an ohmmeter for electrical testing is advantageous.
