Heavy Equipment Operator- Stabilizer

Heavy Equipment Operator- Stabilizer Barber Brothers Contracting Co., LLC, a road construction contractor, is seeking an Experienced Equipment Operator for our Baton Rouge Construction Division. The ideal candidate will have a passion for our industry and have experience working on a road construction crew. The candidate will have working knowledge of a variety of equipment used for soil-modification and soil-stabilization.

The main duty of the Stabilizer Equipment Operator is to safely run and maintain equipment. The position is part of a crew that is responsible for various stages of large construction projects. The position requires consistent incorporation the company’s safety initiatives into daily tasks. Other duties include: Assist in the placement, moving and dismantling of signs, barricades, cones and other traffic control devices.

Perform minor servicing and maintenance and refer major problems to the supervisor. Exercise safe working practices including use of required PPE at all times. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Two plus years of Heavy Highway Experience. High School Diploma/GED. Experience working outside in various weather conditions, road preferred. Reliable transportation to and from job site. Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screen. Employee Benefit package includes medical, dental, vision, Life and, 401K, Compensation is DOE.
