Place of Work: Meadowview Location, 3747 Meadowview, Redding, CA Company Overview Maas Energy Works is the leading developer and operator of agricultural waste-to-energy systems in the United States. The Company designs, develops, constructs, and operates biogas powered renewable energy generation systems on dairy farms.
Our projects include anaerobic digesters, biogas-powered electric generation, and renewable natural gas upgrading. Position Description Goose Works is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee complex projects from inception to completion. This role requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of project management principles and the ability to independently manage all facets of a project, including engineering and design, financial analysis, scheduling, system assembly, legal agreements, procurement, budgeting, and stakeholder communication.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, accountability, and efficiency while collaborating effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders. We value a collaborative culture that encourages seeking support and aims to develop leaders who inspire their teams and contribute to a positive, result-driven environment, embodying professionalism, teamwork, and commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities
Coordination & Communication Serve as the central point of coordination between the shop, field, engineering, and purchasing teams - translating project requirements into schedules, resourcing plans, and execution support across all groups. Provide clear, consistent project updates to stakeholders, including ownership, engineering, and cross-functional teams, flagging risks and dependencies before they become blockers.
Build strong working relationships across teams to enable smooth handoffs and fast issue resolution, even without direct authority over the people involved. Scheduling Build and maintain integrated schedules across shop assembly and field work, sequencing dependencies so neither group is waiting unnecessarily on the other.
Monitor progress against schedule for both shop and field work, escalating and re-planning when either slips. Coordinate with engineering during design and quoting to flag constructability, lead-time, or resourcing issues before they hit the shop or field. PM Support to Shop & Field Provide project management support to the Shop Manager - project setup, documentation, milestone tracking - so they can stay focused on running assembly.
Provide the same PM support to field leads/supervisors for on-site execution planning and tracking. Act as liaison between quoting/estimating and delivery teams to ensure quoted scope, timeline, and cost assumptions are realistic and carried through into execution. Procurement & Vendor Coordination Coordinate with suppliers and the procurement function to ensure materials and equipment arrive on the schedule the shop and field need.
Support vendor bidding/RFP processes as needed, partnering with Procurement on execution rather than owning the process end-to-end. Budget & Financial Tracking Track project budgets and cost projections against quoted assumptions, flagging variances to stakeholders. Commissioning & Handover Coordinate project commissioning activities and drive successful handover to operational teams, ensuring documentation and open items are closed out.
Qualifications
& Skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat. 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in the renewable energy sector. Proven experience in managing all phases of the project lifecycle, from concept to completion. Expertise in financial analysis and budget management. In-depth knowledge of legal agreements and contract negotiation.
Experience in vendor coordination. Exceptional organizational skills with a focus on scheduling and resource allocation. Ability to lead competitive bidding processes and evaluate proposals effectively. Hands-on experience in construction oversight and project commissioning. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and align diverse stakeholders.
Must be proficient in English.
