• Chicago, IL, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $27.00 - $27.00Hourly, Job Shift: Any, Job Category: Field, Armed protection: Maintain a professional, visible security presence to deter threats and protect employees, customers, and bank property. Surveillance and monitoring: Observe activity inside and outside the facility and report suspicious behavior. Access control: Monitor entrances, verify authorization when required, and help prevent unauthorized access to restricted areas. Patrols: Conduct assigned foot or vehicle patrols of designated areas, parking facilities, and building perimeters. Incident response: Respond to alarms, disturbances, threats, and emergencies in accordance with established procedures. De-escalation: Communicate calmly with customers and employees, manage conflicts professionally, and request police assistance when necessary. Emergency procedures: Follow established protocols for robberies, medical emergencies, fire alarms, and other security incidents. Incident documentation: Complete accurate reports, shift logs, and records of suspicious activity or security events. Policy compliance: Follow employer procedures, firearms policies, applicable Illinois licensing requirements, and all relevant laws. Communication and coordination: Work with bank management, security supervisors, emergency responders, and law enforcement as appropriate.

Qualifications

Valid Illinois Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC), where applicable. Valid Firearm Owner's Identification (FOID) card and required firearms credentials. Required armed-security training and current qualifications. Relevant security, military, or law-enforcement experience, depending on the posting. Background screening and any required drug testing.

Strong observation, communication, report-writing, and conflict-management skills.
