Biomedical Scientist in Histology
Banding: Band 6
Location: Lancashire
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Ongoing
Working Pattern: Core hours only
Hourly Rate: £25 - £27
We are currently seeking a Band 6 Biomedical Scientist specialising in Histology to join our client’s team in Lancashire. This is a full-time, ongoing position working core hours only, offering a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to contribute to a busy and well-established laboratory service.
Key Responsibilities
You will process and embed tissue samples, perform microtomy, and stain slides for microscopic examination. You will support pathologists in diagnostic reporting. This will be a Microtomy focused role.
Qualifications and Experience

HCPC registration

Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent

Experience in Histology within a clinical laboratory

Experience with microtomy and staining techniques

Strong attention to detail

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

NHS experience required
