Machine Operator - 2nd Shift

Shift

Second Shift: Monday - Thursday 2 pm - 12 am (4 days, 10 hour shifts)

Position Summary

Efficiently operate CNCs to produce 600 square feet per day of manufactured goods by processing jobs which have a programmed CNC file, ensuring quality is within approved specifications, making the necessary adjustments as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

● Set up and efficiently operate CNC machines

● Verify the correct material is accurately loaded and programed

● Maintain and safely operate CNC machines, overhead crane, and other equipment

● Ensure quality is within approved specifications, making the necessary adjustments as needed

● Document actions by updating jobs in the Moraware software system

● Communicate with other operators, programmers, and supervisors

● Clean work areas and equipment at the end of each shift

● Other duties and responsibilities

Competencies

● Knowledge: Working knowledge of CNC machine operation

● Skills: Attention to detail with a goal-driven attitude

● Abilities: Understand production documents and load/operate CNC machines

● Experience: 0-2 years' experience operating CNC machines, preferably in the stone industry

● Education: Certified CNC operator preferred, but are willing to train if necessary

Who you will work with

This position will report to the Production Supervisor and work closely with other Machine Operators, as well as the CAD/Programming, Finishing, and Quality Control departments.

Work Environment

Operate the CNC in an environmentally controlled and safe environment.

Physical Demands

Ability to lift 50 pounds repetitively and be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the position, with or without a reasonable accommodation, and without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of the individual or others.
