• GREAT BARRINGTON, MA, Position Type: Part Time, Salary Range: $16.00 - $19.00Hourly, Job Purpose and Overview: Berkshire Food Co-op Team Members are the public face of the Co-op providing friendly customer service while ensuring speedy production. All Team Members are assigned a home department and are cross trained throughout the store as needed. They are committed to excellence in retail and service standards, ensuring smooth, safe and efficient operations, and curating an exceptional customer experience. They work to achieve the collective goals of the organization and support the Ends, Vision, Culture and Values of the Co-op. Berkshire Food Co-op (“BFC”) Maintenance Team Members are responsible for day-to-day janitorial and facility maintenance responsibilities. Overall duties include but are not limited to removing trash and debris, maintaining both interior and exterior common areas, restocking bathrooms and responding to cleaning emergencies. They will work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor to carry out an effective cleaning schedule, including daily routines and equipment cleaning schedules.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old High school diploma/GED or relevant qualification required Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed; the ability to lift heavy merchandise, walk and stand for prolonged periods is required. Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required to file documents, store materials, stock/collect merchandise/center store products throughout the workday.
