Handyman, Hospital Engineering Services

Job Description

1. Support nursing and other clinical staff in the operation of facilities system 2.Ensure the Hospital & Surrounding are kept clean. (Roofing, Balcony, Fire Exit Staircase, Drains, Compound, Landscaping, Car Parking Area)
2. To touch up internal building painting
3. To repair or touch up ceiling in the building
4. To rectify leaking problem 6.completed job requests and maintain in standard filing system 7.Check stock level for parts, paints and related chemical use 8.Assist in maintaining cleanliness and hygienic conditions in the work area.
5. Report soonest all complaints etc. to Head of service.
6. Ensure proper utilization of supplies and power to avoid waste.
7. Adhere to hospital policies and Code of Conduct.
8. To carried out duties as an employee as stipulated in Occupational Safety and Health Act and Regulations 1994:- a. To take reasonable care at work for the safety of yourself and other persons; b. To co-operate with your employer or any other person in the discharge of any duty; c. To wear or use any protective equipment or clothing provided by the employer; d. To comply with any instruction or measure on occupational safety and health.
9. Ensure compliance of Patient safety goals as safety improvement measures recommended by World Alliance for Patient Safety (2008)
10. Ensure all Hospital policies and procedures and Hospital Accreditation are adhered to and records maintained, if and when these programs are implemented.
11. Ensure the policies on patients and family’s rights are addressed at all times
12. Adopt the policies and procedures of ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004, OHSAS 18001:2007, Malaysian Hospital Accreditation Standards and Joint Commission International Accreditation Standards
13. Any appropriate job assigned by Superior Jon Requirement SPM or equivalent.
