Student Athletic Event Medical Support Staff (Part-Time/As Needed)

Lyndon Institute is seeking a caring, dependable, and medically qualified individual to provide health support for a student attending athletic events throughout the school year. This position plays an important role in ensuring the student's health and safety while participating in school-sponsored athletic activities away from campus.

Primary Responsibilities: Accompany a student to athletic events as assigned. Perform periodic blood glucose monitoring throughout events and travel. Administer rescue medications when necessary and in accordance with physician orders. Follow the student's individualized Diabetic Health Plan and Emergency/Rescue Plan.

Monitor the student's condition and respond appropriately to changes in blood glucose levels. Communicate with school personnel, coaches, and parents/guardians as needed regarding the student's health status. Maintain accurate documentation of care provided during assigned events.

Qualifications

Current licensure or certification appropriate to administer medications and provide diabetic care (such as LNA, RN, LPN, EMT, or other qualified healthcare professional, as applicable) is preferred Experience caring for individuals with diabetes is preferred. Ability to remain calm and respond appropriately in emergency situations.

Strong communication and organizational skills. Must successfully complete all required background checks and pre-employment requirements. This is a part-time, as-needed position with hours based on the student's athletic schedule, including evenings and weekends.
