Job description
2B Living is looking for a dependable, hands-on Unit Turn Maintenance Technician to help get apartments ready for their next residents. Painting is the primary focus of this job, along with basic repairs, touch-ups, and the finishing work that makes a vacant apartment look great and ready to rent. If you're a good painter, know your way around basic tools, take pride in your work, and like staying busy, we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Do
Handle full repaints and touch-ups on walls, ceilings, trim, and doors. Make basic repairs: Patch drywall, fix minor wall damage, adjust doors and cabinets, replace hardware, and handle other small repairs. Take care of the details: Install blinds, door handles, switch plates, and other finishing items. Help get units rent-ready: Inspect vacant apartments, identify what needs attention, and work through a punch list.
Handle minor maintenance: Take care of simple plumbing fixes, basic troubleshooting, and other routine repairs within your skill set. Keep things moving: Work with property managers and maintenance supervisors to finish units on schedule and communicate any issues or delays. You won't be expected to be an expert in every trade.
We're looking for someone who paints well, is handy, learns quickly, and can handle a variety of basic apartment repairs.
What We're Looking For
Painting experience, preferably in apartments, residential properties, or construction. Basic maintenance and repair skills, including drywall patching and minor carpentry. Someone who works efficiently without sacrificing quality. A dependable team player who shows up on time and takes pride in a job well done. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
At least one year of related painting, construction, or residential maintenance experience preferred. Don't have experience in every area? That's okay. Strong painting skills, a good work ethic, and a willingness to learn go a long way. Pay & Benefits $25–$27 per hour , depending on experience. Mileage reimbursement for travel between properties.
Medical, dental, and vision benefits. 401(k) participation upon hire. Paid time off and additional employee benefits. Training and opportunities to grow your skills and career. Who We Are 2B Living is a Bay Area property management company managing more than 5,000 units across approximately 450 properties.
