Position: Shipping/Receiving Handler Location: 2940 Bert Kouns Industrial Loop, LA 71118 Schedule: Monday through Friday

We are looking for a responsible, adaptable and self–driven individual looking to grow in the manufacturing industry. The job functions include handling, packaging and loading/unloading glass panes that will be produced into dual pane windows, shower doors, table tops, mirrors, etc.

Responsibilities

Manage all receiving and loading operations, including scheduling of deliveries, unloading/loading of vehicles and maintaining route organization. Ensure that all incoming shipments are accurately and promptly processed Monitor route efficiency with emphasis on load value, route length, and frequency Supervise and train receiving and loading staff Monitor the accuracy of all receiving and shipping records, including inventory and stock levels Maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment Identify and resolve receiving, shipping, and inventory discrepancies Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth and accurate operations Oversight of vehicles maintaining proper documentation and preventative maintenance schedules Develop and implement strategies to optimize receiving processes Requirements: Relevant experience in receiving and inventory management Knowledge of warehouse procedures and equipment Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks Ability to safely lift 50-75 pounds Must be able to read a tape measure down to 1/8” Ability to physically stand for 8 hours per day Ability to complete simple computer task Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills and ability to communicate in English Background Check/Drug Screen Qualifications: Must be 18 years or older High School Diploma or equivalent Authorized to work in the US Job Type: Full-time
