The Analyst is an important position on the Asana Partners team that reports to the Director of Corporate Accounting and works closely with the Chief Financial Officer, Partners and Corporate Accounting and Finance teams. In addition to core corporate accounting responsibilities, the Analyst will maintain the firm’s corporate EBITDA and budgeting models as well as prepare analysis and reporting for the firm’s partners and senior executives.
The Analyst will also work directly with the Treasury, Accounts Payable, Financial Reporting, Investment Accounting and Human Resources teams. This is an opportunity to add value to the firm by ensuring there are efficient processes in place, maintaining the highest levels of reporting accuracy, and providing insight that informs firm-level planning and decision making.
Duties include: Develop and maintain sophisticated corporate EBITDA, cash flow, and budgeting models, including multi-year projections and scenario analysis highlighting critical firm performance metrics Prepare the annual corporate budget and perform quarterly budget to actuals variance analysis and reporting for departments across the firm Prepare quarterly reporting packages and analysis for partners and senior executives Provide analytics, research, and support for key corporate strategic areas, including business analytics, budgeting and reforecasting, headcount and G&A planning, and firm-level profitability analysis Build or streamline internal processes to drive operating efficiency for the Corporate Accounting and Finance functions Gain expertise in a variety of technical platforms, including Yardi, Concur, and WDesk Review and code monthly expense report transactions within Concur to ensure compliance requirements are met Process all approved monthly expense report transactions within Excel macro workbook to apply expense caps and prepare entries to record related expenses across all entities Prepare, process and record invoices and cash receipts for various fees and reimbursements across all entities Prepare cost allocations among entities Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliation workbooks Record journal entries to facilitate successful month end close across all corporate level entities Requirements Strong analytical, technology, organizational, and process design skills Desire to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, exciting environment with high expectations Ability to meet and manage critical deadlines and to work independently Exudes professionalism and practices discretion with sensitive, confidential information Basic understanding of accounting principles Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills Acute attention to detail and passion for quality Interested in process improvement and documentation Proficiency in leveraging AI to maximize productivity Proficiency in Excel and Word Financial modeling skills, with the ability to build and maintain complex models is a plus
