Service Porter

What You’ll Do

As a Service Porter, you help keep our vehicles clean, organized, and ready for customers and technicians. This entry-level, full-time role supports the service and sales flow by maintaining vehicle appearance and basic readiness.

Key responsibilities include

cleaning interiors/exteriors; checking and replenishing fluids; charging/replacing batteries when needed; placing buyer guides and stock tags; moving vehicles between the lot, service lane, stalls, and parking; creating key tags; keeping lot areas neat (sweeping/shoveling/vacuuming debris); and inspecting vehicles/equipment for cleanliness, damage, and standards compliance.

Required qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED (or equivalent experience)
• 1–3 months related experience/training (or equivalent); Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmissions
• Ability to read simple instructions and safety/procedure documents
• Clear basic written/verbal communication
• Valid driver’s license

A Typical Shift

You’ll start by checking the day’s priorities with the team, then rotate between the lot and service areas as needs change. Expect a steady rhythm of short tasks—resetting vehicles between appointments, staying ahead of weather and traffic on the lot, and keeping tools, keys, and tags organized. You’ll spend time outdoors and indoors, stay moving throughout the day, and wrap up by making sure vehicles and work areas look sharp and are staged for the next morning.
