Director of Fulfillment Operations

Weezie sells design-forward, customizable luxury home goods and gifts, with a focus on bath. Unlike most brands in our category, we don't outsource personalization. Our 50+ person team in Austell embroiders, packs, and ships every order, and we're searching for a Director of Fulfillment Operations to lead it.

Reporting to the COO, you will own how a Weezie order gets from checkout to doorstep across D2C and B2B, from production forecasting and fulfillment execution to carriers, delivery promises, and returns. You are the operational owner of the customer's post-purchase experience. This is a hands-on execution and leadership role.

You will take the operating strategy set with our COO and turn it into daily and weekly plans and lead the team that hits them. You will lead a team of Fulfillment Managers, Supervisors, Leads, and a Fulfillment Operations Analyst, while partnering closely across the organization. You will be empowered to elevate our operation and our people, supporting Weezie's mission to elevate our customers' everyday so that they may experience delight in life's moments, both big and small.

What You'll Do

Fulfillment Execution & Planning (40%) Oversee and optimize every fulfillment function across D2C and B2B, from customization through pick, pack, and ship Lead regular throughput planning and operational readiness so we hit our on-time, quality, and labor targets Own production and capacity planning against the demand forecast, including the labor and machine plans behind it Get ahead of peak seasons with clear staffing, scheduling, and capacity plans Represent fulfillment in seasonal, product, and promotional planning, and ensure the operation is ready for launches, promotions, and new personalization options before they go live Own the Austell floor: layout, equipment, embroidery machine readiness and maintenance, housekeeping standards, and a safe working environment Define, document, and train standard work across every fulfillment function, and drive ERP and WMS adoption on the floor Deliver an annual peak readiness plan covering staffing, machines, space, carriers, and shipping cutoffs Team Leadership (40%) Manage, develop, and hold accountable a team of managers, supervisors and leads Translate business goals into daily and weekly operating plans with clear performance expectations Build the team to meet current and future demand through data-driven labor planning, hiring, staffing, scheduling, and skill development Champion continuous improvement, using data and time on the floor to spot gaps, solve problems in a structured way, and communicate clearly across teams so fixes stick Own the fulfillment scorecard and weekly operating meeting, and steer the team's rocks and issues Build a culture where feedback is fast, direct, and constructive at every level, and the team embraces it as how we get better Delivery Journey (20%) Own outbound carrier strategy, rates, and service mix, and lower cost per order without giving up speed Set and manage shipping lead times, estimated delivery dates, holiday shipping cutoffs, and ship-by date prioritization Own returns end to end, including our Loop platform, and turn return and defect data into fixes upstream in fulfillment and product Partner with CX and Brand so the delivery experience lives up to Weezie's luxury quality standards Key Performance Indicators On-Time Delivery Rate Throughput to Plan Labor Cost as a Percent of Sales Outbound Shipping Cost per Order Who You Are Operationally Proven: 10+ years in fulfillment, logistics, or ecommerce operations, including 5+ years leading managers and frontline teams, with hands-on D2C and B2B fulfillment experience at volume Floor-First: You've spent real time on the floor, not just in a dashboard, and you're energized by running and putting your fingerprints on the day to day operation and embrace the constant pursuit of operational excellence P&L Minded: You've owned labor and shipping costs at scale and have a track record of driving cost efficiency while protecting speed and quality You are aligned with Weezie's Core Values: Deliver the Wow: You know every package is someone's gift moment, and you hold a high bar for customization quality and on-time delivery because of it Work Smart: You prioritize by impact and plan labor and capacity with data Own It: You set clear expectations, follow through, and hold yourself and your team accountable for results, not activity Improve & Innovate: You spot a broken process, fix it, and document it so it stays fixed, and you're comfortable adopting new tools, including AI, to move faster Better Together: A positive, steady, visible leader who builds trust on the floor, communicates openly, partners well across teams, and develops people into the next generation of leaders Bonus Points: Experience with personalization, embroidery, customization, made-to-order, or high-SKU operations What You Can Expect Onsite work environment: Based at our Austell fulfillment center, with regular time at our Westside Provisions District corporate office.
