Position Summary

Dietary Aides are responsible for assisting in food service. Must be knowledgeable of dietary / cooking preparation and kitchen cleanliness/organization. You are expected to align with our Mission and Encourage Independence

Job Responsibilities

The items below represent the core tasks. However, other appropriate tasks may be assigned.

• Assist Cook and Kitchen Manager
• Strive for excellence in service, delivery ,and preparation of food items as assigned
• Work well with others and independently
• Serve food according to menu
• Anticipate problems and create solutions.
• Maintain clean and safe kitchen
• Follow production sheets . Practice proper food handling. Accuracy in weighing and measuring
• Food handling and preparation
• Meet schedules for prep, service, and delivery of nutrition
• Familiar with MSDS. Practice safety procedures at all times and hygiene procedures procedures for spills and accidents - including Personal Protective Equipment
• Ensure that established Infection Control (PPE) fire extinguishers, MSDS (Materials and Sanitation Policies are implemented.
• Perform daily cleaning duties Ensure that food is properly stored
• Respond to inquiries and concerns in a medical, fire, disaster and other emergency dated timely and professional manner procedures Understand and practice the proper use of kitchen equipment
• Keep area free of hazardous objects.
• Be proactive in maintaining a neat and orderly room
