****POSITION SUMMARY: **** The Business Solutions Advisor – SameDay City is responsible for the successful solution design, validation, planning, management and execution of implementation for complex customer programs. This role provides pre and post-implementation oversight and relationship management for select customers. As an operations and product expert, this position directly supports FedEx Services Sales team on FedEx SameDay City and partners with the customer and cross-functionally within corporate and field operations design and implement operations solutions
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (This is a representative list of the general duties the position may be asked to perform, and is not intended to be all-inclusive)
- Meet objectives for the FedEx SameDay City team as set by the Manager, Same Day City Business Solutions and prioritized in accordance with company strategy and goals
- Work with FXS Sales and customers to understand operational needs and review, validate, analyze and design solutions
- Plan, manage, execute, and follow-up on customer implementations
- Operate within guidelines as established for service levels, solution development, implementation planning & measurement, safety and compliance, issue management, status reports, project completion and ongoing oversight. Adhere to published rules of engagement
- Build and grow cross-functional relationships within the field, FSO and FXS in support of customer solutions design, development, implementation and growth/retention
- Ensure customer solutions and implementation plans are developed and administered in accordance with established agreements and company policies/procedures. Escalate potential issues, including problems with replication/sustainability
- Lead coordination of customer-facing resources, communications, readiness assessment, risk mitigation and transition to operations and/or oversight resource
- Secure and maintain a strong working knowledge of FedEx SameDay City processes and service features to ensure alignment in solution design, implementation and post-implementation relationship management
- Provide overall communication to FedEx SameDay City team members, pricing team members, or Sales team members who directly interact with the customer
- Act as main point of contact for key customer business owners
- Monitor overall progress for each customer and address process needs to meet customer expectations through life of the program
- Participate in program development, planning and launch of FedEx SameDay City initiatives
- All other duties as needed or required
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, a related field or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree preferred
- 5+ years’ experience in sales, sales support or customer-facing roles focused on developing existing business relationships
- Experience working with sales processes, operations, organization/workflow and customer agreements
- Some project management experience preferred
- Experience working with MS Project, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint and Access

- Ability, on a consistent basis, to report regularly to work and maintain established business hours in order to support the FedEx Office business; regular attendance and/or reporting could include regular attendance at a physical location and/or maintaining established business hours depending on the scope and nature of the position
