Description POSITION SUMMARY: An Andersen Windows and Doors Field Service Technician travels to customer homes to diagnose, repair, and resolve warranty or performance issues on installed windows and doors.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Repairs & Service: Dismantle, adjust, and fix previously installed windows, doors, sashes, hardware, screens, locks, and trim. Diagnostics: Troubleshoot product performance concerns, air leaks, and water infiltration to find root causes. Customer Care: Communicate professionally with homeowners, set clear expectations, and resolve difficult onsite situations.

Documentation: Complete electronic service reports, job assessments, and expense tracking using mobile apps or company systems. Travel: Drive to various customer locations and job sites. Order parts or products, as needed, to repair and resolve the issue. Check stock availability. Enter details of the order on BGS’ computer system.

Log any customer problems or complaints on the record so that there is a complete picture of the customers’ interactions with BGS.
