FULL-TIME 40 HRS PER WEEK W/ BENEFITS HOURS: Varied, including some evenings and weekends

The Washington County Library System is looking for a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Full-Time Library Clerk! If you enjoy working with people, staying organized, and being part of a welcoming community environment, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

What You'll Do

• Assist library patrons with questions, services, and resources. • Greeting and assisting patrons with questions, library services, and resources. • Checking library materials in and out, issuing library cards, and maintaining patron accounts. • Organizing, sorting, and shelving books and other library materials. • Helping patrons navigate library computers, online resources, and equipment. • Providing excellent customer service while assisting with account questions and concerns. • Creating attractive displays and helping promote library programs and activities. • Assisting with daily library operations and maintaining an organized, welcoming environment. • Supporting additional library services and programs as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• Strong customer service and communication skills. • Basic computer knowledge and organizational skills. • Friendly, dependable, and detail oriented. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Position Details: • Schedule: Full-Time; may include evenings and alternating weekends. • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without assistance and push loaded book carts weighing up to 100 pounds.
