Job Summary
Are you organized, personable, and interested in supporting patients in a busy healthcare environment? We are seeking an Administrative/Practice Support professional to help ensure the day-to-day operations of our clinical practice run smoothly and efficiently. In this role, you will be an important part of the patient experience, welcoming patients, coordinating appointments, answering questions, and providing administrative support to the clinical team.

No What You’ll Do: -Welcome and assist patients and help create a positive, professional experience.
-Schedule patient appointments and maintain accurate appointment information. -Support patient check-in and check-out processes. -Answer incoming calls, respond to routine questions, take messages, and assist with appointment scheduling. -Help maintain efficient patient flow throughout the practice. -Process and scan documentation into patients’ electronic medical records.
-Obtain patient medical records and laboratory test results as needed. -Assist with prior authorizations, referrals, and verification of patient registration information. -Prepare and maintain forms, records, schedules, correspondence, and other practice documentation. -Process incoming mail and faxes and distribute information appropriately.
-Maintain patient files and print appointment schedules. -Process patient billing forms and, when applicable, accept co-payments. -Monitor the waiting area and assist patients with general questions or information. -Provide additional administrative and clerical support to the practice as needed. Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials N/A Experience healthcare office experience 0-1 year required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Basic Proficiency with all Office Suite. Knowledge of office operations and standards and understanding of office procedures including filing, copying, scanning, printing and faxing.
Ability to use phone system and manage more non-routine phone calls and solve routine issues as appropriate. Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience and Talking to others to convey information effectively. Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents, to correspond and communicate with others clearly and effectively (including composing/editing e-mail, memos and letters), and to take complete and accurate messages.
Managing one's own time and the time of others. Well organized and good time management skills to manage multiple tasks effectively, follow established protocols, and work within systems.
