Art Teacher (Sub and Off-Site Program Support) (Part-Time)

Contemporary Art Teacher One River School of Art + Design At One River School, we believe children are capable of real artistic thinking. We’re looking for practicing artists and passionate educators who want to introduce young creators to contemporary art in ways that feel exciting, meaningful, and wildly engaging. What You’ll Do Lead dynamic, hands-on art classes for students as a substitute Assist with off-site workshops and tabling at events Assist with after-school programs Spend time in a Teaching Assistant role Explore contemporary approaches across painting, drawing, sculpture, collage, mixed media, and 3D work Encourage experimentation, creative risk-taking, and big imaginative thinking Create “WOW moments” that build confidence and artistic voice Connect thoughtfully with families about student growth and creative breakthroughs This isn’t craft-time.

Fully Equipped Classrooms All materials, tools, and supplies are provided so you can focus on teaching and creating. Creative Community Work alongside fellow artists and educators who care deeply about art, growth, feedback, and inclusion. Flexible Schedule for Creative Lives Evenings and weekends (Saturday/Sunday). Later start times leave your mornings open for studio practice or other creative pursuits.
