Elementary Summer Camp Teaching Positions (Full-Time & Part-Time) Lead Teachers & Assistant Teachers Fayetteville Montessori School is seeking enthusiastic, engaging educators to join our Elementary Summer Camp Program. Our camps serve children ages 5-10 years old and are designed as two-week, themed sessions that blend creativity, exploration, and academic enrichment.

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about working with children, enjoy the outdoors, and are excited to bring STEAM, nature-based learning, and project-based experiences to life in a fun and meaningful way.

Overview

The Fayetteville Montessori School, established in 1974, is a year-round program dedicated to fostering independence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning. Our summer camps extend this mission by offering engaging, hands-on experiences that support the whole child through both fun and academically enriching activities.

Camp sessions are thoughtfully planned around themes, allowing children to explore topics through collaboration, creativity, and real-world application. Position Details ● Roles Available: Lead Teachers & Assistant Teachers ● Schedule Options: Full-Time & Part-Time ● Camp Format: Two-week themed sessions throughout the summer ● Age Group: 5-10 years old Preferred Qualifications: ● Experience working with elementary-aged children ● Background in education, child development, or related fi eld (preferred) ● Passion for STEAM, outdoor education, and project-based learning ● Energetic, positive, and team-oriented mindset ● Ability to foster a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment Essential Duties & Responsibilities ● Lead and support engaging, theme-based camp activities ● Create a fun, structured environment that balances play and learning ● Support children’s social-emotional development and independence ● Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers ● Collaborate with fellow staff to plan and implement camp experiences ● Maintain clear, professional communication with staff and families ● Participate in daily setup, transitions, and cleanup routines ● Model enthusiasm, creativity, and professionalism What We’re Looking For We are seeking educators who: ● Love working with children and building relationships ● Enjoy being outdoors and active ● Bring creativity and excitement to themed learning ● Value both fun and meaningful educational experiences ● Thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment Physical Requirements & Work Environment Summer camp staff can expect to: ● Spend significant time outdoors in varying weather conditions ● Be actively engaged with children throughout the day ● Stand, walk, bend, and lift (up to 30 lbs occasionally) ● Supervise groups of children in both indoor and outdoor settings
