Mechanical Engineer
Job description
The Mechanical Engineer is an important member of the Engineering team and is responsible for designing products or systems and determining the feasibility of designs and applications.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Researches and analyzes data such as customer supplied designs, commercial and military specifications and repair manuals to determine feasibility of design or application. Designs products or systems such as heat transfer equipment, aircraft exhaust components, tooling and test equipment. Ability to design complex assembly models in Solid.
Works Creates manufacturing plans and bills of material in WCC manufacturing software. Ability to interface between engineering and internal and external customers. Travel to customer sites, other divisions and technical conferences.
QUALIFICATIONS
(Knowledge/Skills/Education) Bachelor Degree in Manufacturing, Materials, or Mechanical Engineering – Master’s Degree a plus Minimum of 5 years’ experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering, machine design, manufacturing process development, value engineering or product engineering Strong interpersonal skills, ability to organize, and excellent communication skills 3D modeling and GD&T drafting skills, Solid.
Works preferred Strong knowledge of precision tools and measuring equipment Project management skills Microsoft Office experience PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
