Bus Driver/Maintenance

Posting Date: August 13, 2026 JOB OPPORTUNITY JOB TITLE : Bus Driver / Maintenance SITE AND LOCATION OF POSITION : Maintenance Operations and Transportation TERM AND HOURS OF POSITION : 8 hours per day RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES : Under the direction of the facilities and transportation director, and in association with the lead bus driver, drives a school bus over designated routes for the purpose of transporting students to and from school and/or school related activities; maintains student discipline on the bus; submits daily reports as required; cleans and washes buses; monitors fluids and lubricants on buses; and makes minor repairs.

Performs district maintenance and operation duties as designated by supervisor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Formal or informal education or training which ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance. First aid and CPR certification required; may be obtained within six months of hire. License and Certificate Requirement: Possession of the required California Motor Vehicle Operator's license.

Possession of a School Bus Driver's Certificate issued by California Highway Patrol, including passing a first aid examination . SALARY : Range 20, $23.31- $29.11 per hour based on 10 steps.
