A Day in the Life

As a Cook you will follow recipes, prepare and serve food and ensure that quality food service is always maintained by following established policies and procedures. Shifts Available Full time; hours will vary by department needs Rotating weekend shifts will be required How This Position Contributes to our Mission Ensure that all dietary procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.

Prep and cook meal items as directed by the Kitchen Manager or Director of Food Services. Complete necessary paperwork, forms, data collection, and temperature logs daily. Maintain cleanliness in work areas by adhering to established cleaning schedules, ensuring equipment, tools, and supplies are properly stored and in good working order.

Follow all food safety procedures, including proper handwashing, safe food handling, and proper sanitation. Assist with departmental projects as assigned or required. Skills and Qualifications Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English. Must have basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication).

Must have the ability to adapt to the needs of the residents, staff, and visitors. High school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Serv-Safe certification is preferred.
