Your Opportunity: The Psychosocial Rehabilitation Program at the Centennial Centre for Mental Health and Brain Injury provides care and treatment for those individuals experiencing severe and persistent mental illness to support recovery. Reporting to a Unit Manager, the Registered Psychiatric Nurse will be working within a client centered treatment approach and will be responsible for assessment, providing patient/family support, discharge planning, group facilitation and individual work with clients working within a psychosocial rehabilitation philosophy.

You will also ensure effective operation of the unit when assuming designated responsibilities and contribute to the learning experience of students, staff and patients. Description: As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being.

In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance.

You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of Recovery Alberta. PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit holders will be paid $40.76 - $55.79 per hour. Upon being entered into the register as a Registered Nurse, the rate of pay will be adjusted in accordance with the UNA Article 25.

• Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Additional Required Qualifications: Leadership, observation and communication skills, a positive attitude and the ability to work effectively in a psychiatric and rehabilitation setting are essential. Demonstrated excellent assessment, organization and patient care skills. Ability to communicate findings in a concise and accurate manner. Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications
