Role Summary
The Group Accountant will manage multi-country accounting for operations across Lebanon, UAE, Ghana, and Canada.
Responsibilities include
financial reporting, reconciliations, inter company coordination, and compliance with local regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate accounting records for multiple entities including GL, AP, AR, bank reconciliations, and fixed assets.
- Prepare monthly financial statements including P&L;, balance sheet, cash flow, and variance analysis.
- Manage multi-currency transactions (USD, AED, LBP, CAD, GHS) and inter company accounts.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies in each country.
- Prepare cash-flow projections and support treasury management.
- Ensure proper documentation for trading, manufacturing, real estate, investments, and loans.
- Implement financial controls such as payment workflows, vendor approval, and expense.
- Assist in evaluating new investments, property transactions, and CAPEX projects.
- Support ERP/accounting software improvements or digitalization.
Requirements
- 5–8 years accounting experience; multi-entity, multi-currency background preferred.
- Degree in Accounting/Finance; ACCA/CPA/CMA is a plus but not required.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations, and IFRS basics.
- Excellent Excel skills; exposure to ERP systems preferred.
- Strong English; Arabic is an advantage.
- Must be able to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
