Local Truck Driver CDLA Yard Spotter

Responsibilities

Make 25-35 moves per day with straight-trucks and tractor-trailers using spotter trucks and day cabs. Some shuttling to/from plants and/or fueling pumps. Most work completed in the yard. Checking mechanical aspects of the vehicle. Report mechanical issues, fueling, and checking reefer units. Backing tractor trailer and box trucks in and out of docks.

Requirements

Minimum of 21 years of age. Hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver´s License. Minimum of 12 months CDL A Commercial experience. No Hostling experience required - will train. Current DOT Medical Card and be able to pass pre-employment DOT drug and criminal background screen. Must be able to Driver a Manual Transmission.

No Manual restrictions. Be in excellent physical condition and be able to stand, sit, kneel, bend, lift, push, pull for extended periods and have normal use of senses. Able to work in all types of environments and under difficult conditions; hot, cold, dust, indoors, outdoors. Legally eligible to work in the U.S. Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English.

Must pass pre-hire drug screen and physical. Be able to lift, push, pull 50 pounds with no assistance.
